Kitchener-Waterloo to Fernwood is roughly ninety minutes on the 401. A natural midpoint for groups coming from both Toronto and KW.

Downtown London is ten minutes away — restaurants, groceries, and anything else you need. But you probably won't leave the property.
The Property
Not a Resort. Not a Cottage Rental.
Private, not shared
Each space is a standalone building. No shared walls, no reception desk, no other guests next door. You have your own entrance, your own fire pit, your own piece of the property.
Forest, not manicured
40 acres of Carolinian forest — old-growth trees, a creek, walking trails, a meadow, and wildlife. Deer, foxes, owls, and wild turkeys are residents, not attractions.
Equipped, not bare-bones
Full kitchens in the Studio Loft and Farmhouse. Gas fireplaces. Complimentary firewood. 1 GB fibre Wi-Fi. You can cook dinner, stream something, and still feel like you're in the middle of nowhere.
Short stays, done well
Fernwood is a 1-to-3 night property. It's designed for a focused weekend reset — not an extended cottage week. Arrive Friday afternoon, leave Sunday, feel the difference.

Adler Cabin
Most secluded. Deep in the trees, fire pit, sleeps 2.
Bracken Cabin
Creek-side. Floor-to-ceiling windows, wildlife at the glass, sleeps 2.
Studio Loft
1,120 sq ft. Vaulted ceilings, gas fireplace, full kitchen, sleeps 2.
The Farmhouse
Original 1960s farmhouse. Multiple rooms, full kitchen, deck, sleeps 2–4.

- How far is it from Toronto?
- About two hours west on the 401 — exit at London, then ten minutes north to Komoka. No ferries, no cottage-country traffic.
- What are the rates?
- Nightly rates from $189 (weeknight, low season) to $495 (peak weekend). All prices CAD + HST.
- Can we get food on site?
- Manna by Fernwood Hills offers breakfast baskets, grazing boards, and cinnamon buns delivered to your space. The Studio Loft and Farmhouse have full kitchens, and downtown London is ten minutes away for groceries and restaurants.
- Is it good for couples?
- Most guests are couples. The cabins sleep two and are completely private. The Studio Loft and Farmhouse have more space if you want a full kitchen and gas fireplace.
- What about winter?
- All spaces are heated. The gas fireplaces, snow-covered forest, and quiet trails make winter stays some of the best. Rates are lower in the off-season.
