Why Elope Here

The courthouse alternative — done well.

Private by design.

One wedding per date. No other ceremony competing for the same forest, the same light, the same moment. Forty acres of Carolinian forest — yours from ceremony through breakfast.

Ten minutes from the city.

The address is Komoka — close enough that your witnesses aren't traveling far, far enough that it genuinely feels removed. Easy drive back in the morning.

Nothing left to figure out.

Ceremony, dinner, overnight, breakfast — all designed as one. You don't have to piece together a restaurant booking and a hotel room around a forest ceremony.

Best for

  • Couples who want the ceremony without the crowd
  • Up to 8 guests — partner, witnesses, immediate family
  • A complete experience with nothing left to plan elsewhere
  • Couples who want a quiet moment before a larger celebration later
  • A forest night that carries into breakfast

Not ideal for

  • Groups larger than 8 (see Micro Wedding for up to 25)
  • Couples who want a full reception with dancing and a DJ
  • Couples needing more than 8 guests for their ceremony

The Food

No fixed price list — menus and pricing are worked out as part of your booking. We can accommodate vegetarian and some other dietary preferences; just mention it when you inquire. Outside caterers are welcome too — bring your own, no corkage. About Manna →

Questions

Good to Know

What are the two elopement options?
There are two options. Ceremony only at $900 — a private forest ceremony for up to 8 guests, 2–3 hours on-property. Or the all-in package at $2,200 — ceremony, The Evening for Two (farm dinner at dusk), overnight in the Studio Suite, and farm breakfast the next morning. Mon–Thu is $810 ceremony-only or $1,980 all-in.
What is The Evening for Two?
The Evening is a farm-style dinner for two as the light softens — seasonal shared plates and boards at the outdoor table or under the Timber Pavilion. Unhurried, not formal. Manna handles the cooking. You stay as long as the evening calls for.
Can I do ceremony-only and add dinner separately?
Yes. The ceremony-only option is a real standalone product. If you want dinner after, you can dine out, arrange your own, or upgrade to the all-in package which includes The Evening for Two, overnight, and breakfast.
What if it rains on our elopement day?
The Studio Loft or Farmhouse serves as your indoor weather backup — both are beautiful spaces and already on the property. No scrambling, no extra fee. The Timber Pavilion handles light rain as a covered outdoor option. The plan is built in.
Can we bring our own officiant and photographer?
Yes. You are free to bring any officiant, photographer, or videographer. We don't require you to use preferred vendors. We can recommend local officiants if you need one.
Can we add a getting-ready session before the ceremony?
Yes — a getting-ready half-day in the Studio Loft or Farmhouse is $295. Both spaces are beautiful for hair, makeup, and first looks. Mention it when you inquire and we'll include it in your quote.
What is the deposit and cancellation policy?
A 25% (minimum $400) retainer holds your date, applied toward your total. No full payment is due until closer to the event. We send a payment link and a simple planning agreement when you confirm. Cancellation terms are included in the agreement.
