Why It Works
Intimate at scale.
Forest ceremony.
White pine timber frame arch in a forest clearing — built from trees our grandfather planted on this land. 30 guests max. Everyone sees the vows.
Farm dinner under the stars.
Long table in the Timber Pavilion — communal, relaxed, seasonal. The kind of dinner where conversation actually happens. If the evening turns, Studio Loft is ready.
Done by 8.
Hard close at 8pm. Guests leave. The day actually ends instead of running until midnight. Clean, intentional, real.
Best for
- 11–30 guests — everyone knows each other, no strangers
- Couples who want a real gathering, not a courthouse
- Forest ceremony with a communal dinner that follows
- Guests gone at 8 so the day ends cleanly
- Weekday dates — quieter, $900 less
Not for
- More than 30 guests — feels cramped
- All-night parties or late departures
- Dance floors, DJs, formal reception
- Fewer than 11 guests — see The Elopement
Photography
Documentary style, by Lee.
The story of the day, not posed portraits. Lee knows every corner of the property and the best light at every hour. Available for either package — inquire for availability. Outside photographers are always welcome.
Ceremony — 3 hours
$2,500
The Full Arc — 5 hours (getting ready through dinner)
$4,000
Vendors
Your team, your choice.
We don’t bundle vendors into the package — you hire who you want. We keep a short list of people who know the property and work well here. No vendor fee.
Officiant
Ontario allows clergy and commissioned civil celebrants. Discuss vow style, ceremony length (target 20–40 min), and timeline. Lock in 12+ weeks out.
Photographer
Look for outdoor/forest experience and comfort with intimate group timelines. Lee is available when not booked — inquire for availability.
Florals
The white pine arch is beautiful bare — florals are optional. Hand-gathered property greenery welcome. Local florists available on request.
We also have preferred London-area caterers — food trucks and fine dining. Couples book direct, we make the introduction. Names available on request.
The Food
Manna by Fernwood Hills — in-house food prepared in a simple, thoughtful way that fits the scale and feel of your day. Seasonal menus, family-style or buffet service. No fixed price list — menus and pricing are worked out as part of your booking. We can accommodate vegetarian and some other dietary preferences; just mention it when you inquire. Outside caterers are welcome too — bring your own, no corkage. About Manna →

Manna dinner is an add-on at $75/person. Studio Loft overnight for the couple is booked separately via the normal booking flow.
- What's the Ceremony Only option?
- Just the ceremony — no getting-ready space, no evening. Two to three hours on the property. $2,500 weekend, $2,000 Mon–Thu. Forest ceremony with white pine timber frame arch. Weather backup included (Timber Pavilion or Studio Loft).
- What's not included?
- Officiant, photographer, florals, and alcohol (BYOB — or apply for a Special Event Permit, about $25). Manna dinner is an optional add-on at $75/person. Studio Loft overnight for the couple is a separate booking. Guest cabins (Adler and Bracken) are available at regular rates through the normal booking flow.
- What is the guest count range?
- 11–30 guests for the Full Day package. Ceremony Only also supports this range. Below 11 guests — The Elopement is the right package.
- What if it rains?
- Lee calls the weather by 10am. Ceremony moves to the Timber Pavilion (covered, open-air) for light rain, or indoors to the Studio Loft for heavy rain or cold. Evening dinner moves to the Studio Loft if the weather turns. All backups are beautiful. No scrambling, no extra fee.
- What time do guests need to leave?
- Guests depart by 8pm. That's the hard close. The couple can stay on property overnight — book the Studio Loft separately via the normal booking flow.
- Can we bring our own caterer?
- Yes. Manna dinner is our recommended add-on at $75/person (family-style, seasonal, served around 6pm, up to 30 guests). You're also welcome to hire another caterer. We also have preferred London-area caterers — food trucks and fine dining — that couples book direct. No vendor fee.
- Can guests stay overnight?
- Yes — the Adler and Bracken Cabins are available at regular rates through the normal booking flow. Each sleeps two, private washroom up the lane. Book alongside your wedding date when you inquire.
- What is the deposit and payment process?
- A 25% (minimum $400) retainer holds your date, applied toward your total. No full payment until closer to the event. You'll receive a payment link and a simple planning agreement when you confirm.
- What's the evening venue — Timber Pavilion or Studio Loft?
- Good weather: long table in the Timber Pavilion — covered, open-air, candlelit. Rain, cold, or wind: Studio Loft indoors — sit-down dinner, forest views through floor-to-ceiling glass. Lee calls by 10am so there are no surprises at dinner time.
- Is photography available?
- Lee photographs documentary style — the story of the day, not posed portraits. Ceremony (3 hours): $2,500. The Full Arc — getting ready through dinner (5 hours): $4,000. Inquire for availability. Outside photographers are always welcome.
- Can we have a DJ or dancing?
- Music is fine (background, relaxed). We don't have a DJ booth or dance floor. 8pm is the hard close for guests. Fernwood is for intimate celebrations, not late-night parties.
