Your Cabin Day Use Guide
A private cabin. Just you — or you and one client.
This guide covers everything about booking Adler or Bracken Cabin for the day — rates, what's included, which cabin to choose, and how the booking works.
Day use is different from overnight: you book a time window, arrive, do the work, and leave. No minimum nights, no checkout checklist. The cabin is yours for the block — and the forest is the point.
The Cabins
Two cabins. Both private. Both in the forest.
Adler and Bracken are the two tiny cabins on the property — 110 and 120 sq ft of handbuilt wood construction, set in clearings in the forest. Neither has a full kitchen. Both have wood stoves, private decks, and no other guests nearby.

Adler Cabin
110 sq ft
A handbuilt tiny cabin set deeper in the forest. Wood walls, a wood stove, a small deck looking into the trees. The kind of room where the work that won't come indoors finally arrives. Closest to the main trail network — good for sessions where a forest walk is part of the day.
Included
- Wood stove (firewood provided)
- Private outdoor deck
- Forest trail access
- Complimentary parking
- No shared spaces with other guests
Best for
Therapy sessions, coaching intensives, focused writing days, photography shoots with forest backdrops.

Bracken Cabin
120 sq ft
The quieter of the two — set further from the gravel road, closer to the creek. Slightly larger than Adler, with the same handbuilt quality and the same forest-only view. On the days when the sound of running water is exactly what a session needs.
Included
- Wood stove (firewood provided)
- Private outdoor deck
- Creek access nearby
- Complimentary parking
- No shared spaces with other guests
Best for
Nature-based therapy, EMDR and somatic work, intimate photography sessions, deep solo work.

Who Books a Day
Different work. Same forest.
Therapists & Counsellors
A calm, forest-framed room for nature-based therapy, EMDR sessions, or client intensives. Private enough that your client won't run into anyone else on the property. No front desk, no waiting room — just the cabin and the forest.
Photographers
Natural light, forest backdrops, a wood stove, and handbuilt interiors. Half-day or full-day bookings for editorial shoots, headshots, or intimate couples sessions that need a real room instead of a rental studio.
Coaches & Facilitators
1:1 executive coaching, intensive days with a single client, or pair facilitation. Forty acres of trails if the conversation needs to move from the room to a walk. The cabin gives the container; the forest gives the space.
Solo Creatives
A writing day, a painting day, a thinking day. No phone, no open-plan office — just forest, wood stove, and the work you've been putting off for months. The cabins are small enough to focus and quiet enough to actually get there.

Questions
Frequently asked.
What's included in the day rate?
Exclusive use of the cabin and its deck for your booked time window, firewood for the wood stove, trail access, and complimentary parking. No other guests are on the property during your booking.
Can I book for a client session?
Yes. Many therapists, coaches, and photographers book for exactly this — one professional and one client. The cabin is private: your client arrives, you have the space, they leave. No shared areas, no front desk, no other people around.
How does check-in work?
We send a door code and directions before your booking. You arrive, let yourself in, and the cabin is yours for the session window. No keys, no front desk check-in.
Is there WiFi?
The property has 1 Gbps fibre WiFi and the signal reaches the cabins, though coverage varies slightly by spot on the property. Most day use guests don't use it — that's usually the point. If you need reliable connectivity for a session, let us know and we can confirm signal strength at the cabin.
Can I bring food?
Yes. The cabins don't have kitchens, but you're welcome to bring a picnic, a thermos of coffee, or a meal. The deck is a good spot for a lunch break between sessions.
Which cabin should I choose?
Adler is the closer cabin — quicker to reach from the parking area, with direct trail access. Bracken is the quieter cabin — further from the road, closer to the creek. Both are roughly the same size and character. If you're not sure, tell us what your session is like and we'll help you pick.
Are the cabins heated?
Yes — both have wood stoves and we stock firewood. In warmer months, the cabin stays naturally cool in the shade of the forest. There is no air conditioning, but the forest canopy keeps temperatures comfortable through the summer.
Can I extend my booking on the day?
If the cabin is available after your block, we can often extend — send us a message and we'll check. Extensions are billed at the rate difference between your current block and the next tier.
What's the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 72 hours before your booking. Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable. If we can rebook the cabin, we'll issue a credit.
How far is the property from London?
Ten minutes. The address is 9533 Oxbow Drive, Komoka, ON. There's parking on-site directly at the cabin trail.
